As a member of the Marching Lancers, you are required to be in a band class. Be sure to add band to your class schedule when picking your classes. If you are in Color Guard and do not play an instrument, you are required to take a band class for Semester 1 only or join choir. Please reach out Mr. Malburg if you have any scheduling questions - we can make your schedule work!
Held each May, Icebreaker is the annual kick-off to the marching band season! All members are required to attend icebreaker to meet their sections, rehearse the brand new show music, and pay their deposit for the season.
Our costs for the 2026 season are still being finalized and will communicated by March. Our booster organization, the LCHS Band Boosters, work throughout the year raising funds to keep operational costs as low as we can while still offering a high-quality and rewarding experience. We have been able to keep costs well below what the average competitive band charges while still placing in the top 4 at MCBA State Finals for seven consecutive years.
All members pay a $600 marching band fee for the 2025 season that covers most season expenses. Each section additional out-of-pocket costs throughout the season are listed below.
