Who Can Join?
We always love to welcome new faces to the Marching Lancers! The following students are eligible to join band, regardless of previous experience:
All L'Anse Creuse High School students
International Academy of Macomb students who's home school is L'Anse Creuse HS
Invited eighth grade students at Middle School Central and Middle School South

Most concert band instruments are part of the Marching Lancers, with the exception of the instruments listed below. Students who play these instruments can learn percussion or join color guard for the marching season, or they can play one of the recommended alternate options:

How Do I Join?
As a member of the Marching Lancers, you are required to be in a band class. Be sure to add band to your class schedule when picking your classes.
Icebreaker
Icebreaker is the annual kick-off to the marching band season! All members are required to attend ice breaker to meet their sections, rehearse the brand new show music, and pay their deposit for the season. This year, Icebreaker is on Saturday, May 10 at 9 AM. How Much Does a Season of Marching Band Cost?
Due to the cost of operating a full competitive season, all members pay a $600 marching band fee that covers most season expenses. Each section additional out-of-pocket costs throughout the season are listed below.

Out-of-Pocket Costs
All Students: Half-gallon water jug, occasional packed meals
Woodwinds: Lyres, flip folders, dot book, reeds, swabs, cork grease
Brass: Lyres, flip folders, dot book, valve oil, slide grease
Battery: Dot book
Guard: Dot book
In addition to the $600 marching band fee, each section has an additional uniform fee:
